Review of Winter's Bone (2010) by Anabelle V — 09 Apr 2012
A slow film that picks up by the end. Regardless, the solid direction and superb acting translates to a film that simply feels real. Despite the fact that the film's central conflict is a common one, its setting and characters separates this from your run-of-the-mill family drama.
The characters are extremely flawed, which only enriches the film.
