Review of Winter's Bone (2010) by Myron A — 17 Jul 2012
Almost every character in this movie frightened me. Which, in my opinion, means they did a great job. It's got a real solid, cohesive cast. It's upsetting, but I like the little nuances the director added to make the story less melodramatic and more realistic.
I do hope there aren't families who actually go through situations like this one, especially in this setting. But there have to be. I'm now officially impressed by Jennifer Lawrence.
