It's billed as a dramatic comedy, but I assure you it's more drama than comedy, it's extremely depressing. However, the acting is very good, with the exception of will ferrel who seems out of place.
Zooey Deschanel is great and so is Ed Harris. It's very slow paced so you have to really be in the mood to watch it. I found it just really odd and quirky, but Since I like movies like this, I enjoyed it, but I can see why a lot of people would hate it.
If you hate dramedy, stay far away from this one.
