The best of film of the faith trilogy IMHO and maybe one of bergman's best overall. again, this is a dark challenging film wrapped in symbolism though it is not as concealed as the other two films int he trilogy.
ingrid thulin's monologue in the middle of the film is among my favorite bergman moments.
