Review of Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey (2023) by Jakeyjake — 04 May 2023
To say that Winnie the Pooh:Blood and Honey isn't the best personification of masterclass filmmaking would be the understatement of the century. With an incoherent plot, abysmal dialogue backed by even worse acting, a skeleton thin score and horror sequences and set pieces that would make every great horror director of the 50s and 60s roll over in their graves, this truly is one of the most absurdly bad film's I've seen in awhile.
Now having said all that, Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey is so bewilderingly bad that it's almost fascinating. Much like a lot of bad B-movie shlock of the 50s, this is a film that's of the "so bad it's good" quality.
There's moments of incompetence and baffling decisions that almost brought the house down in the theater I was at. It's an experience I will never forget, and is a movie that is perfect in watchability for friends who want to have a laugh as well.
