I'll be honest. I was a bit disappointed. It played out more like an episode from the show rather than an actual movie. And it was only about an hour long. The show hasn't been on in more than a decade so I would have liked to have seen the characters fleshed out more.
That being said, the movie does a wonderful job of keeping the spirit of the show. It's absolutely cheery and light-hearted. I'm sure kids would love it. I'm not sure if they got the original cast or not (aside from Rabbit who is clearly impersonated) but the voice actors do a great job with the characters.
And I loved the animation. 2D hand-drawn beauty. It looks just like you remember. If you're a fan of the old show (or have kids to entertain) this movie is a great time.
