Review of Winnie the Pooh (2011) by Urban H — 07 Aug 2011
It's about as good as it could have been. A lot of memorable moments in this short feature and really does bring one back to the memories of our childhood. Although, the voices are a tad different in some places, it still has it's heart in the right place with it's original cast of characters here.
I would have liked to see Gopher in this, but I can't say that I missed him too much. Tom Kenny actually was pitch perfect in filing in the shoes and doing the voice of rabbit. I couldn't tell that it was a different voice for that one.
For anyone that was ever a fan of Winnie the Pooh in the past, this is definetely worth a look and a must for any kid out there. Zooey Deshnal's songs here are also something quite wonderful in addition to this piece of work.
I can see this being one of the few nominees for best animated film of the year.
