Review of Winnie the Pooh (2011) by Andrew H — 31 Jul 2011
Our house runs on Winnie the Pooh. My son calls his bedroom "Pooh's House" and has about 10-15 different stuffed versions of Pooh Bear (i.e. Winter Pooh, Flat Pooh, Big Head Pooh, Medium Pooh, Christmas Pooh, you get the picture.
..). So, we were really excited to see this movie. But, um, why is it only 60 minutes long? I mean, honestly, you can hardly call something a movie if it's only an hour long. Pooh delivered, though, with a sweet soundtrack including the voice of indie movie darling Zooey Deschanel and a typical story about friendship.
Naturally, Pooh is in pursuit of honey for the entire film and his growling tummy annoyed me to no end. That aside, the film sends a good message to kids and had one or two laugh out loud moments.
