Review of Winnie the Pooh (2011) by Panta O — 10 Aug 2011
Winnie the Pooh is the latest (fifth) animated family film inspired by the A. A. Milne stories... and what a treat! If you have young children in the family, go to watch this film where 'Piglet saves the bacon'!
In the film, Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Rabbit, Piglet, Owl, Eeyore, Kanga, and Roo embark on a quest to save Christopher Robin from Backson - an imaginary culprit thanks to Owl's information, while Pooh deals with a hunger for honey.
It is not easy to keep youngsters glued to the screen but directors Stephen Anderson and Don Hall are managing that very well!
This film definitely transcend generations not just with the story but with the music too! Six songs by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, as well as a rendition of the "Winnie the Pooh" theme song by actress and musician Zooey Deschanel were delightful. Lovely work of art!
