Review of Wings of Desire (1987) by Miles H — 01 Apr 2008
One of the most deeply romantic and spiritually stirring movies ever made. Wenders offers the hopeful notion that our desires, joys, despair, and weaknesses are all one in the same, one force that allows us to live and experience love.
I identify with this movie, I admire its intelligence and beauty, and I think that as long as people keep on reproducing, the movie will last the ultimate test of time. Shame that Hollywood thought American audiences were too slow to get the whole thing and remade it into the insuffrable "City of Angels".
