Review of Wings of Desire (1987) by Christopher M — 06 Oct 2008
The story of an angel who gives up his immorality for the love of a human woman. This is a remarkable German film - shot mostly in a beautiful, crisp sepia tone, with splashes of full colour throughout, this film is utterly profound and a must-see.
The direction is brilliant, so many interesting shots and so well, written, too. Having Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds in there at the end was a very cool, pleasant touch to the whole affair, too.
