Review of Wings of Desire (1987) by Daniel P — 19 Feb 2010
Having seen the Hollywood "remake" several years ago, I wasn't sure quite what to expect. This is the only one to pay any attention to. A moving meditation on life, love and loss as percieved by the angels who walk among us.
Wenders constructs a film of mood and mystery. A thoughtful look at life in color and black and white; in life and in death. A film worthy of regular viewing.
