Review of Wings of Desire (1987) by Lasse C — 29 May 2010
Powerful, moving and supremely emotional and interesting movie. Bruno Ganz who has since given the quintessential Hitler performance gives a stunning portrayal of an angel who desires nothing more than to become mortal.
Most of the film is shot through the eyes of angels and this is the movie's greatest strength. Although it is perhaps slightly too long this is one of the best movies I have seen in a long time.
