Review of Wings of Desire (1987) by Caleb M — 08 Aug 2010
A love letter to Berlin, life and cinema, Wings of Desire is about as beautiful a film as can be. Seeing the world through an angels eyes, Wenders and Alekan revel in the simple beauty of a broken man being built up, children laughing at a circus and a trapeze artist's last performance.
Wings of Desire is a film in love with film and all it's possibilities.
