Review of Wings of Desire (1987) by Alex K — 20 Jun 2010
A remarkable film that goes so many places and remains invigorating the whole way through. The first hour and a half remains the most interesting, where the angels just sit and watch people and hear what they think.
It's quite and calm, and something I could get lost in. The last half hour or so becomes the events of reality, and while it is still very good, it pales in comparison to the earlier segment. Also, who doesn't love Peter Falk? It is a fantastic work of art, and a truly unique film the likes I have never seen before.
