Review of Wings of Desire (1987) by Fabiano L — 08 Jan 2008
This is one of my favorite movies.
"Why am I me, and why not you? Why am I here, and why not there? When did time begin, and where does space end?" I couldn't help but think of a touch of Ecclesiastes with this type of dialogue. Beyond this type of reflection, there is beautifully composed photography, and the reminder to really value the simplest of things in this mortal life. Further, I enjoyed the presentation of interplay of different realities...and it was fun to see Nick Cave too.
