Review of Wings of Desire (1987) by Fiona B — 22 Jun 2009
This movie moved real slow. The actors seemed to move real slow. They were sonatural they seemed like they were picked up froma sidewalk. And I loved every moment of it.
The deliberate choices of diretor Wim Wenders puts him in a special class of individual filmmakers who make personal choices and stick with their vision. Thank goodness.
In this story, written by Wenders and Peter Handke, an angel falls in love with a beautiful trapeze artist. Wenders offers a visually romantic and seductive work.
His actors, Bruno Ganz, Solveig Dommartin, Otto Sander and Peter Falk are very interesting to follow in their respective roles.
I would like to see it again.
