Review of Wings (1966) by Giffy G — 03 Jun 2008
The movie was quite entertaining, but from my standpoint, it was most entertaining when it was in the realm of melodrama and romantic comedy. Some of the fight scenes were taught and gripping--in fact, some of the effects garnered a physical response from jaded 21st century me--but I had a lot of trouble keeping track of who was who during the fight scenes, making them more confusing than compelling.
Moreover, unless they were standing side by side, I could not tell my main male characters apart. Still, a movie that decently stands up to the 81 years that separate it and me.
