Review of Wings (1966) by Jake R — 04 Aug 2008
A bit too long. Sadly that is the only way to describe the first winner of the Acadamy Award for Best Picture. The film has some insane visual and ariel affects, and more than one great performance, it's simply too long.
Clara Bow has such stunning screen presance that you honestly forget the film is silent. I would suggest this picture to anyone who is serious about learning the history of film, but it would be at the sake of entertainment.
