Review of Wings (1966) by Dan P — 01 Oct 2009
Wings is a movie that I think should be appreciated more as an historical artifact than a film in itself. If you're in to long, plodding silent films with a middling plot, then here's your thing I suppose.
The aerial dogfights are neat enough, and make the movie watchable, but other than that this is worth watching mainly so you can say "I've seen the first film ever to win the Oscar for Best Picture".
And now I can do that.
