Wing Commander III and IV (video games) pioneered the use of full motion video cut scenes using real Hollywood actors such as Mark Hammill, Malcom McDowell, and John Rhys Davies to give the player a truly authentic cinematic experience.
It was only natural then that the game would translate perfectly onto the silver screen. Unfortunately, bad writing, horrible casting, and shoddy production values ruined any chance of that.
