Review of Wind River (2017) by Eck620 — 02 Dec 2017
Enjoyed this movie and its message. Casted very well, Renner and Olsen made for a solid pairing. Renner portayed the brooding, emotionally shut down, father stuck in shadows of the past to perfection. If you've ever met a guy from one of these fly-over states you know the one word and simple answers in between sips from a beer bottle are spot on.
In response to those who think Olsen was miscast - her natural beauty and non-imposing build are meant to create vulnerability for the character. The character is supposed to be a "pretty girl from a big city (Vegas)", she is supposed to look and feel out of place and in over her head, it creates more vulnerability in the viewer's mind and thus more suspense.
