Synopsis: A wilderness tracker(Renner) comes across a dead body of a Native American woman and helps rookie FBI agent (Olsen) solve the mystery of what happened to her.

Man I couldn't wait for this film. Taylor Sheridan has been off to a hot start with his first two screenplays (Sicario and Hell or High Water). Wind River lacks the punch of his first two, but is a good film nonetheless. The place is slow, but his tone shows through.
Renner plays a troubled wildlife tracker/hunter, who lost his own daughter in an accident and consequently his marriage because of it. Olsens' plays the rookie FBI agent and is more annoying than competent. There are a few good performances but overall it never got moving like his previous stories.
Overall, It is a good film if you can stick with it to the end.
