Review of Wind River (2017) by Tracy F — 16 Nov 2017
A great movie, took me to a cold and bitter place where the people seem, at first, to be as hard-bitten as the weather, until you take a closer look and you find out that they're the kind of people you want as your neighbors.
The Indian reservation setting and the dive into the culture in this area was really eye-opening, and the plot (murder/rape of an Indian teen) was told with great empathy, which is unusual in a crime thriller.
Amazing piece of work!
