Review of Wind River (2017) by Arseniy V — 02 Oct 2017
This based on true events indy-pic was a big surprise for me. Jeremy Renner is the common man, cowboy, hunter/tracker, and just plain cool as the Parks and Fisheries man in Wyoming. There are many turns in this story and it slowly reels you in as you follow the clues to the ultimate climax.
I didn't predict the ending and it didn't disappoint. The story moves slowly, but in Wyoming, EVERYTHING moves slowly. It reminded of me of Fargo, but a lot less tongue in cheek. It's movingly sad at times and will fill you full of rage and ultimately vengefulness.
