Review of Wind River (2017) by Laura M — 28 Aug 2017
The movie I thought was great primarily because of Jeremy Renner's cool and laid back handling of his character, which made him believable. The movie reminded me of Insomnia, which was a murder mystery set in the cold wilds of the north too.
Characters here are a little quirky but fitting. This movie packs a punch with it's shockingly violent scenes. The audience gasped in parts. Some scenes are hard to watch, but everything is engaging from beginning to the end.
Elizabeth Olsen does a nice job as well. I love the setting. It also doesn't go overboard on time either.
