Review of Wind River (2017) by Matterhorn C — 19 Aug 2017
A well-made, humanized crime-drama. The bleakness in the weather and scenery is matched by the bleakness and despair in the characters' lives. As are the howling, snow-laden winds with the grief-stricken, helpless anger of families torn with grief and despair.
And yet, up there is a beautiful, blue sky and beyond the reservation lie the promise of a hopeful life that is tantalizingly out of reach.
