Review of Wind Chill (2007) by Sheryl B — 24 Mar 2010
Wind Chill is a highly underated horror film. In an era where gore is percieved as horror it's nice to watch one that uses suspense and weird creatures to keep the viewers attention. Wind Chill is primarily a two cast film and lucky enough for the film and viewer is that Emily Blunt and Aston Holmes are just brilliant in their roles, there is sublte chemistry between them which makes it so much more believable.
A problem with most horror flicks is the story and character development. Wind Chill chooses a different path with both, neither character comes from a troubled background and aren't some how connected to the horror, they just happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and I find that refreshing and more believable.
The Story is also one you don't come across in every Horror flick for being trapped in a car whilst it's snowing outside with creatures lurking amongst it is so refreshingly different I would recommened this to anyone looking for scares in a film that involves neither gore or a recycled script.
