The day before Christmas Eve, a bitchy college girl decides to hitch a ride home to Delaware. She snags a number from the college board for hitching rides with strangers and meets the guy for whom she'll be spending a 6 hour ride with. He's being kicked out of his apartment and pretty much lives in his car. She could care less and chooses to be difficult. On their journey, bickering occurs between both joyous occupants. Things become ever more awkward when the guy makes it known that he shares a class with her, but she of course couldn't remember him.

The guy decides to take an short cut. Kind of like the father from 'Dead End' who would do the exact same thing. Scenic route 606 is a wonderful winter route when heading to Delware. It provides a series of trees, trees and more trees. The guy drives down this route for a specific reason. It's meant to be a romantic gesture. You see, this guy really likes this girl and therefore wanted to get her alone with him by posting up a free ride to Delaware. She took it and now she may be regretting it.

However, this girl becomes accustomed with her predicament once the two get snow bound after a hit and run accident. Their car slamming into a snow bank and causing them to be stuck for an indefinite stay. So to make the most of this shit, and survive, she must stick by her guy stalker. Devoted he maybe to keeping her safe, but from the snow storm and ghosts become a different matter. You see scenic route 606 has it's fair share of deaths and people getting stuck in winter storms. While being trapped on this snowy road, the two unfortunate college kids are put through the ringer by dead Catholic priests, a bad cop and other dead visitors. How do you think the trip to Delaware is doing so far?

Road trip horrors like this need an injection shot of the macabre. It was too fixated on the college guy trying to leave a lasting impression on the girl of his dreams. The set up is just like 'Dead End' without the twist ending. The acting was good from Emily Blunt and Ashton Holmes. It sadly didn't have enough interest in the ghost story and felt too generic.
