Review of Winchester (2018) by Myriah T — 03 Feb 2018
There are so many really interesting aspects to this house, yet only, like, 3 of them made it into the movie. Absolutely no effort was put into making Sara Winchester mysterious or interesting. She was the most uninteresting character in the whole film when she should have been the #1 most interesting.
Her whole stradegy for keeping the spirits at bay turned out to not work, then it did work, then it didn't work. Then it did. Then it didn't. Stupid. The only thing that made it a little scary was all of the jump scares.
But that's not "scary" that's just "startling". Lots of holes in the plot. Very 1 dimensional. My daughter and I, who are big Winchester fans, were very disappointed.
