Review of Win Win (2011) by Janet V — 13 Mar 2012

This was so beautifully acted and written and directed. I love how grounded these characters are; it's funny because it isn't over the top, it's heartbreaking because you care about these characters, and it's gratifying because the ending is completely justified.

And I really love how multifaceted these characters are; they felt real and I'm totally invested in their stories. Giamatti, Cannavale, and Ryan are great, as always, but my shout out goes to Shaffer! He has a bright future in acting ahead of him.

The wrestling scenes are fun and really intense too, which was something I did not expect because wrestling as a sport never really appealed to me. But, in the end, the drama and story were the aspects that really won me over.

This was an easy 'A', without a doubt.
