A little bit quirky and a little bit off balance, this film is a smooth-feel-good story that catches you off guard... It feels fresh and original; with a honest, un-romanticized feel with the story-- leaving you rooting for both giamatti and the boy throughout the film.

Though the supporting actors are a bit cliche at times, the driving forces in this film lie within the essential good nature of giamatti an his family... Which pitch the tone throughout the film.
