Review of Wimbledon (2004) by P3Rly D — 26 Dec 2009
Tennis + romance + comedy. I was expecting the formulaic romantic comedy, but the focus of the movie is actually the tennis and how Paul Bettany's character won the tournament, which I thought was refreshing.
Paul Bettany, whom I associate with playing serious disturbed characters, is surprisingly effective as the lead actor. He and Kirsten Dunst have great chemistry and elevated the movie..
