The director misses the point that just because it's grindhouse you still need to have semi decent actors, a good script and an element of plausibility. A bunch of teenagers break into the wonderland to rescue Cage and burn it down but two of them decide to go off alone and hump each other? Makes no sense as one of them had previously come close to going home out of fear.

Grindhouse does not equal stupidity and a nonsensical narrative. The first two fights cage has with the animatronics are very lack lustre and him not speaking gets old very fast. It's a shame really as the premise is quite solid.

The editing and special effects are pretty decent too.
