Review of Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (1971) by Michael T — 20 Sep 2015

Simply a wonderfully made film for it's time. I may now be a little spoiled by the remake, but I not only saw this one before it, I grew up watching it (plus Wonka is better in this one). This classic film features a good music track and a heart-felt, engaging, and loving story like no other.

A boy from a poor family wins the big prize touring probably one of the most interesting and exciting fictional factories man would have ever known. With some amazing feats for it's time, fun scenery, and a colorful cast of characters (especially Wonka himself), this old classic shall remain one of the most fun and sweet ideas in film history.
