Review of Willow Creek (2013) by Mirza Mohd S — 07 Jun 2014
Many people dont like or understand the concept behind found footage films, I personally love & adore them! Agreed they follow the basic standard format of an opening set up, a couple of scares & the shocking climax, this film is no different.
This time around the film is based on finding "Big Foot" or Sasquatch. This film has an extreme emphasis on slow-brooding tension and suggestive horror. This last aspect is particularly underlined through an eighteen-minute (yep that long) one cut shot of the lead characters anxiously embracing each other in their tent while uncanny sounds and presences lurk outside.
This is truly an effective small tense horror movie, give it a watch only if you are a fan of this genre (found footage) or else skip it!
