Review of Willow Creek (2013) by Richard B — 25 Jul 2015
I liked this found footage film a little; it was basically a Bigfoot version of 'The Blair Witch Project'. The film is shot very well for a handheld film and I liked the characters some too. I was impressed with the 20 minute "tent scene" that was done in one entire shot, so kudos to the director and actors.
The film is a "slow burn" and I thought it was pretty scary especially towards and end and I had no idea what was about to happen. My biggest problem was how the ending really didn't make any sense with the rest of the film for the most part.
One thing I loved about 'The Blair Witch Project' was that one of the stories told in the beginning predicted the ending and I wish this film would have done the same, especially since they told many stories.
Overall I was a little bored with this film at times and wish the ending would have connected to the beginning of the film, but this film did succeed at being scary.
