One of the great 1980's fantasy/adventure films. Okay, George Lucas' story is just a rehash of similar themes from the STAR WARS series, but Howard's direction, ILM's effects, and Davis' lead performance make this something a little more unique.
It also features a fantastic score by James Horner.
