Review of Willow (1988) by Veronica H — 06 Mar 2013
Cult classic this is a beautiful nostalgic piece of 80s fantasy by George Lucas and Ron Howard. Full of cheesy fun, action sequences and sentimentality it is a lot of fun. Effects are good, while at times show their age.
Performances are great, with a sort of cheesy self-awareness. Shot beautifully against both British and New Zealand landscapes this is a children's classic and 80s filmophile classic.
