Review of Willard (2003) by Lafe F — 14 Aug 2007
Ugh. Just... ugh. This film has no idea what it really wants to be, aside from an excuse for Crispin Glover to be creepy/crazy. Many of the characters are one-dimensional (aside from the evil rat-warlord, Ben, strangely enough) and the plot really doesn't go *anywhere*.
The only things that I can find in this film to compliment are the near constant sense of paranoia and insanity that permeates an otherwise rather dull movie, and its lighting which is very well done and aids the former greatly.
