Review of Wilderness Survival for Girls (2004) by David S — 16 Sep 2007
Performances are fine but their characters are painted in broad strokes (it seems each character is assigned a specific trait: One is the smart girl, one's the party girl, and one's the average girl).
As a result, we do not really become emotionally involved with the girls as we would like to. Secondly, the plot starts of strong as it slowly builds tension and unpredictability in what direction the narrative will take, but unfortunately once the stranger arrives it becomes stagnate as it simply drags out the situation with no clear focus or direction, making it all very dull and redundant.
I admire the filmmakers attempt at trying something new and different but it's simply too un-involving and distant.
