Review of Wilde (1997) by Jasmine V — 28 Nov 2006
Fry seems born to play Oscar, I can't imagine anyone else in the role now! He just -is- Oscar Wilde. The film deals with all the various aspects of Wilde's life, the public persona, the family man, and the secret life with Bosie.
It treats all these with a sympathetic hand, and brings out the beauty therein. Wonderful sets, excellent acting, a must for anyone with a drop of culture in their blood! And for those who haven't, there's Jude Law.
