Review of Wild Zero (1999) by Louis L — 04 Oct 2007
In the realm of japanese sci-fi horror/rock and roll action flicks, it would certainly appear that there just isn't enough room for a film like wild zero. shit, if japanese sci-fi/horror rock and roll action flick is even a genre it wouldn't seem like there's enough room for anything.
wild zero has it all. for those of you who hate to read subtitles, the protagonists of this fine film repeatedly utter the phrase "rock and roll" IN ENGLISH (granted it comes off more as lock and loll, but who's judging them here).
you want zombies, wild zero has zombies. you want romance, it's in there too. if you're looking for a movie that prominently features japanese rockers guitar wolf, then this is the only place you'll find it.
aliens? they're all over it. at some points in the film it even looks like they had a budget.
