Review of Wild Wild West (1999) by Abram H — 09 Sep 2009
After Independence Day and Men in Black, everyone was expecting big things from Will Smith's latest summer blockbuster. Unfortunately, Will's luck ran out on this one. The story is silly, but not funny, and so outrageous that you wonder why you are even watching it.
Salma Hayek's character is utterly pointless, and Will Smith is not believable as a cowboy. Points to Kevin Kline and Kenneth Branagh for fantastic performances, however, they are about the only saving grace in this film.
