Review of Wild Wild West (1999) by Ryan V — 01 May 2012
Will Smith and Kevin Kline play 1860's government agents in this overblown steampunk western. This movie is definitely trying to play in the same ballpark as crowd-pleasing Smith features such as Men in Black or Independence Day.
While it's about as nonsensical as those movies, it's not nearly as funny or as entertaining. Hollywood is overstuffed with cinematic misfires based on old TV shows, but Wild Wild West is one of the worst.
