Review of Wild Wild West (1999) by Wesley W — 21 Nov 2013
A pretty dumb excuse for a western movie. It was poorly directed, had an uninspired lazy script, had a crappy villain, and for the most part was crapply acted. After coming off of hits such as Independence Day and Men in Black, Will Smith was on a good run until he did this bland and forgettable crap.
This also should have been better considering it was directed by the Men in Black director Barry Sonnenfeld. Will Smith and Kevin Kline give what they can to the table, but in the end they were brought down by a crappy and cliched script, bad cgi, and stupid over the top set pieces.
