Review of Wild Target (2010) by Alexa B — 04 Jan 2011
A cast list that reads as a whos of whos of some of Britain's finest acting talent is on board here with the always fantastic Bill Nighy playing a hitman who falls in love with his latest taget (the great Emily Blunt).
The madcap plot is hilariously far fetched and everyone seems to be having a great time. Rupert Grint takes a break from Harry Potter playing Nighy's apprentice, the always watchable Eileen Atkins is Nighy's slightly scary mother and Rupert Everett the suave businessman who wants Blunt dead.
Also we have Gregor Fisher as a bumbling assassin and Martin Freeman sporting very white tooth caps as a sinister hitman. All in all a funny comedy that hits all the right notes.
