Review of Wild Target (1993) by Adrian B — 22 Apr 2011
Bill Nighy is the quintessential English robot. He doesn't turn, he pivots. He doesn't ponder, he calculates. He's just a joy to watch. If they had to cast a real life C3PO it would be a close race between Nighy and Colin Firth.
And that's where any fun is derived in Wild Target... watching a fantastic cast mug their way through a very average film. Ruperts Everett and Grint, Martin Freeman and the incredibly lovely Emily Blunt all look like their having great fun but it's like a big panto - too broad for its own good.
Two Ruperts in one film!... only in England.
