Review of Wild Tales (2014) by Jonathan B — 18 Dec 2015
Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant anthology made up of six distinct stories about revenge. None of the character cross over and each story is quite different in narrative however each is darkly comic and wonderfully played.
Packing in one story before the opening credits sets the mood nicely and the rest of the tales unfold over about 20 minutes a piece. There isn't really a weak link in the chain though I did particularly enjoy the third segment which is a cautionary tale about the male ego and road rage.
Damian Szifron has written and directed six lusciously dark gems which was a real, wicked, delight to watch.
