The best Ingmar Bergman film I've seen yet, a truly human and heartfelt examination of life before death. It observes all the characters so warmly and studies the dangers of emotional dettachment. An emotionally perfect performance from Victor Sjostrom, hooks you in instantly.
A thought-provoking, heartfelt film accurately depicting the necessity of human warmth.
